Robert Snyder, MD, Appointed Chief of Florida Primary Care at Nemours Children's Health

Dr. Snyder to Lead 19 Primary Care Offices Across Central Florida and the Treasure Coast

Nemours Children's Health has announced the appointment of Dr. Robert Snyder as the new Chief of Florida Primary Care.

In this pivotal role, Dr. Snyder will oversee a network of 19 primary care offices spanning Central Florida and the Treasure Coast.

He succeeds Dr. Thomas Lacy, who retired after more than a decade of dedicated service.

Dr. Snyder brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare, encompassing primary care, executive leadership, and hospital administration.

Prior to joining Nemours, he served as Medical Staff President at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Dr. Snyder stated, "Nemours Children's Health is a leader in pediatric primary care in Central Florida, and I look forward to leading and working with the talented and committed primary care physicians who continue to do impactful work while providing high-quality care to our patients."

Dr. Snyder earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University) and completed his pediatric residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

He is board-certified in pediatrics and has received multiple awards for his contributions to medical education and patient care.

Nemours Children's Health is one of the nation's largest multistate pediatric health systems, comprising two free-standing children's hospitals and a network of over 70 primary and specialty care practices.

The organization is committed to transforming children's health by adopting a holistic model that addresses needs beyond medicine.

In related community developments, the Lake Nona area, where one of Nemours' primary care offices is located, is experiencing significant growth.

Recent projects include the groundbreaking of Ellison Nona, a 377-unit multifamily development, and the upcoming Poitras Park, a 14.2-acre park featuring a splash pad, playground, and sports courts.

These developments reflect the area's commitment to enhancing community amenities and infrastructure.

Dr. Snyder's leadership is anticipated to further strengthen Nemours' dedication to providing outstanding, patient-centered care to the children and families of Florida.
